- Remember to obtain permission from the house owner for the permanent installation of an antenna.
- In historically or architecturally valuable areas you may need planning permission but elsewhere this is not generally needed.
- In restricted areas, or where you cannot get permission from the landlord (such as in a block of flats) you may be able to install a mobile or temporary dish which sits on your balcony or hangs from your window.
- The owner of the satellite dish is responsible for liability insurance. This is especially important when mounting to walls or roofs. Check that this is covered by your house insurance.
